My sister Jen came to stay with me for the remainder of my study week~
When she first arrived we went to eat and then shopping at La Senza for a little bit. I had some messed up experience previously with the store and so we went to a different location. We both had scratch cards that were minimum $10 discount off a $25 purchase. I got the standard $10 but Jen received $100!!!!!! Not only did she get her purchase FREE, they loaded the rest on a gift card for her to spend whenever she wants O_______o
On Tuesday we slept in and then went to a Korean karaoke box~ (Meaning it’s just us in a small private room with the karaoke machine) I go there sometimes alone and they just look at me like I MUST be lost or something, since the point of these places is to sing with your friends, but no one wants to go with me. I didn’t take any pics because Jen was nervous about doing it in the first place but we had a lot of fun. Jen even found Eyes on Me from Final Fantasy VIII in the book. Besides that I think we sang Lady Gaga’s discography, and I sang a lot of my Jpop songs.
Wednesday was terrible slushie weather that I had to go to work for a few hours in. By the time I got home there was a snow cone in my shoes so we didn’t go out at all. We even wasted a lot of money ordering in food, which we never ever ever do.
Thursday we went to Dufferin Mall, but we didn’t feel like shopping much and just picked up some snacks and groceries.
Friday we went to Pacific Mall, mostly for the FOOOD~~ We got some epic boxes of rice enough to feed 6 people and a main dish, like WOOOWWW there was a lot! Jen and I shared a watermelon milk slush, which my friends Rachel and Lynne got me addicted to.I only bought a couple of hair clips and a new nail polish from this new Korean cosmetics shop.

This is the only picture I could get of Jen and Ariel without them looking silly.
SATURDAY is where it gets realllllly AWESOME SAUCEOME!!!! We planned to go to the Playdium in Mississauga. I’ve never been since it’s pretty pricy and takes a long time to get there. Earlier in the week I even had to put money away for it so I wouldn’t spend too much. I was kind of nervous that Playdium wouldn’t be as great as it seems since they’re not very descriptive about WHAT kind of games they have there. They have a LOT of racing games, a decent amount of shooting games, DDR SUPERNOVA 2!!!!, batting cages, and apparently even bubble shooter.
PLAYDIUM~!!!!
The food is not too over priced either, but maybe that’s because I was prepared to pay the $25 + applicable taxes x 2 to play already that $5.50 for a pizza slice and drink wasn’t a big deal any more. Ariel got a panzarotti, which is the best value, if you want to die. He had to wipe it off with napkins from the GREASE but at least it was freshly made to order.
At first I felt weird about trying some of the games, but finally we found some that were free. The amount of little kids there wasn’t too annoying except this one time we failed early at DDR and this kid didn’t even wait until we got our stuff and was already on the game. Luckily the next time we played, no one was waiting or bothering us.
There was also this game that took your picture to use as an avatar during the races… I didn’t get a pic of mine, but Jen’s was cute~

BUNNY BOING BOING~
Ariel spent over 9000 mins on some shooter game with various partners, none of them being me or Jen…
Looking all cool for my camera…
We stayed probably 3 hours, playing the Indy 500 last. Apparently its an old SEGA game that they built cars that move like a ride as you drive with a realistic gas pedal. I said “Let’s go while I’m still in a good mood.” Since we weren’t really sure about how the bus was going to go for the way home, when I get stressed and worried I just blow up O_o
It took about an hour to get back home from there, 35 mins on Mississauga transit bus #26, although a whole lot of busses go there in a good sized station, since the mall Square One is right across the street. The bus just says “To Subway” but it brings you to Islington station, from there you can get back down town easily.
Honestly I want to go back just so I can check out Square One, but I reminded everyone that we’re there to PLAYDIUM not shop.

Sorry if this post has been disorganized and kind of random, I’m just too excited about the experiences to be really objective about it. And since I was the one taking pics it always looks like I’m forcing my sister and my bf to hang out together. Which I guess I am since I’m the one taking the pics~! Its a good compromise since I want both of them to have fun and not use Jen as a camera slave when we get together.
